Curly Waters remembers:
"I do remember that in practicing for this parade and trophy presentation I was required to come to attention and march out up to the trophy line shown here in the photo. On being called out I promptly came to attention and then preceded to “goon march” (same arm & same leg at the same time) out across the parade ground. Very quickly I got screamed at by Gus Warner for goon marching with words going something like “How can someone who has been awarded the PT trophy not have the coordination to march!” (expletives removed to aid comprehension). Luckily in the actual parade all went well and I had sorted out my “coordination”."
